Our House of Wishes
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our founder’s mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Looking at the limited options available to her, he felt called to design something better. His mom had dedicated her life to caring for her family. She deserved more than a cold, institutional facility.
Willhaus combines part of our founder’s surname with the German word for house, and together they translate to “house of wishes.” That name is family-oriented to the core. Because whether your loved one is living with memory loss or daily physical challenges, it’s not the end of their story, it’s simply the beginning of a new chapter.
We offer compassionate, person-centered assisted living, thoughtful safety and security, and a beautiful home your loved one can be proud of. Willhaus is one home on five acres rather than a large campus, and that’s deliberate. It’s a labor of love dedicated to an exceptional mom, and to every senior and family navigating a similar path.

Will my loved one have a private room?
Yes. All 16 of our spacious rooms are private with an ensuite bathroom, and 10 of them also have a private patio for peaceful enjoyment
My loved one wanders – what provisions are in place to keep them safe?
We know what it’s like to worry about a loved one safety as a result of their Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Your relative’s safety is our number one priority – always. Our grounds are secure with an excellent security camera system, and caregivers are skilled at redirecting potentially risky behaviors like wandering.
My parent has difficulties with eating – how will you manage this?
Proper nutrition is incredibly important, but lots of seniors with dementia struggle with various aspects of eating. Our chefs make freshly prepared meal, and your loved one will be free to choose foods that truly tantalize their tastebuds.
Accepting support with eating and drinking can be tough, but our compassionate caregivers will always approach this with patience, positivity, and encouragement. We’ll monitor your relative’s food and fluid intake carefully, addressing any problems proactively before they cause health problems.
How will my relative stay active at Willhaus?
Our stately home sits within five acres of beautiful woodland and gardens packed with nature trails. Your loved one will be encouraged to enjoy physical activities they love – whether that be strolls with friends, gardening, chair exercises, or dancing. Whatever their favorite activity, our caregivers will be on hand to help them enjoy it safely.
My loved one takes a lot of medication – can you help with medication management?
Yes. Our assisted living staff are fully trained and experienced in providing diligent medication management.
